Duke Baristas Receive $20K On Stage At Rolling Loud 2018 From Young Dolph

Get Paid…

Two baristas who worked at the Duke University coffee spot Joe Van Gogh were terminated of their employment for playing “Get Paid” from Young Dolph during their shift. The VP of Student Affairs, Larry Moneta, heard the lyrics “Get paid, young nigga, get paid” and stated it was inappropriate.

Britni Brown and Kevin Simmons were shortly terminated from employment. Young Dolph heard about the situation and took to Twitter about the situation, “Whoever that VP is, he don’t give a damn about nobody but his self,” he wrote on May 9. “I guess he was trying to teach the students how to be selfish I guess………smh.”

Dolph took it one step further when he invited Brown and Simmons to the Rolling Loud 2018 in Miami. He paid for both their flights and gave them $20,000 cash each during his performance on Friday night (May 11th). Talk about getting paid!
